Marks II: As a lifelong "Gunsmoke" fan, I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed your website (well, I *could,* but an e-mail could not handle all the plaudits!). Saturday night was sacrosanct in the family I grew up in--first Paladin, then Gunsmoke. I mean, that durn black-and-white TV was the equivalent of a roaring fireplace for gathering our family together for sense of home and hearth. I remember sitting on my dad's lap taking all that good horse oatery in. And deciding early on that I would like to be a saloon gal with my own place when I grew up. Friends always said my dad looked like James Arness; and I suppose that as a young man he did indeed. Finding your site has brought back so many pleasant memories. And what a tribute to a truly great western (and sophisticated writing-and-production effort as well). I have caught a few of the reruns on TV Land and been surprised at just how funny and trenchant and astute many of the scripts were. Needless to say, much of the innuendo went over my head the first time. And, what a delight to find that you are an EE expert! My husband, a physics PhD, has teased me unmercifully years on end because I was a "Gunsmoke" fan. Heh, heh. Guess I'll just pull up your webpage and show him that there is indeed, to coin a phrase, other intelligent life in the universe! Thanks for the good show! Happy Trails to you and yours, Wendy Higginbotham
